Investment Strategy

Grandview invests in both public and privately held food and food related companies. The food industry is one of the largest industries in the world encompassing thousands of public and privately held companies throughout numerous sectors and can accommodate a full range of investment strategies and funds. Grandview's strategic vision involves leveraging the firm's deep industry expertise and capabilities across multiple public and private equity funds over the next several years, taking advantage of synergies, including opportunities to cross-fertilize industry insights and ideas, between the various food related funds.

Grandview’s initial fund is focused on investing in both public and privately held food businesses applying a private equity approach. Candidates for investment must have the following attributes:

  • High quality businesses with sustainable competitive advantages
  • Strong recurring free cash flow
  • Multiple levers of value creation and exceptional upside
  • Fairly valued on an “as is” basis

We avoid companies with low free cash flow, uneven revenues and undifferentiated franchises. Grandview makes investments only when there are opportunities in which attractive long term returns may be achieved with limited downside.
